JOB SUMMARY
Performing day to day shift activities, repairs, attending planned and unplanned shutdowns. Inspection and maintenance of DC & AC motors, lighting, etc.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensures compliance to IMS (ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS 18001) requirements.
Carrying-out maintenance activities (preventive and corrective maintenance) as per work order and giving back proper feedback.
Inspection of DC motors and other related electrical systems and reporting any abnormality to the higher level and recording it in the logbook.
Recording energy consumption readings daily.
Attending breakdowns, minimizing delays and unplanned shutdowns.
Implementing the instructions from the management.
Coordinating with other departments and working as a team.
Carrying-out daily shift activities and follow-through the problems.
Proper maintenance of electrical facilities such as lighting, telephone, intercom and air conditioning systems and carrying out repair works and keeping ready spares.
Studying the system, proper tools handling and safekeeping and working effectively to reduce the cost of the company.
Proper housekeeping and cleaning of electrical parts, tools and electrical rooms: VVVF, DC Drives, PLC and cleaning of work area after the work.
Following rules & regulations of the Company, such as company annual leave, medical leave, working hours, shift schedule, off days and safety instructions and also the rules specified by the Authority / Ministry.
Performs other tasks and duties that maybe assigned by his superior.
Education
At least a Diploma or an Industrial Training in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Engineering Technology.
Skills
Ability to read electrical drawings
Knowledge in the maintenance and troubleshooting of DC and AC motors & controls, field devices, cable termination, lighting, etc.
Experience
At least 3 – 5 years as an electrical technician in steel or any other industries.
