Lubrication Technician

To perform a variety of activities to lubricate & service all equipment in order to maintain their proper operation & avoid unnecessary downtime or equipment damage. Assists Senior Mechanical Fitters in carrying out Check list, preventive, predictive, corrective and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment, facilities, tools and instruments whether the plant is on operation or shutdown. Prepares spares and off-line repair of machines, equipment and components. Supports maintenance objectives of optimum equipment reliability, availability and safety at minimum cost through excellent workmanship, reduction of delays and efficient use of spare. Supports Production goals to meet tonnage targets & produce excellent quality rebars. 

• Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures and confirm exact dimensions and helps set parameters.
• Implementation of predictive, preventive & corrective maintenance activities.
• Works together with Sr. Mechanical Fitter, Welder, Utility Specialist, WTP Operator and other trades in the Recondition of equipment.
• Assist to Sr. Mechanical Fitter troubleshoots mill equipment failures and abnormalities.
• Helps maintain operation of overhead cranes, Water Treatment Plant and auxiliary facilities like Air Blowers and Atlas Copco Air Compressors.
• Assists Utility & hydraulic specialist in the fabrication and installation of water, hydraulic and pneumatic piping components and fittings. 
• Repairs centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, screw pumps and pneumatic diaphragm pumps in the plant together with Mechanical Fitter or WTP operator.  
• Performs gas cutting of metals and some minor welding/ tacking and fabrication works.
• Fabricates and installs water, hydraulic and pneumatic piping, components and fittings.
• Performs painting using spray gun & descaling of corroded parts using pneumatic descaler.
• Reconditions all hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders using applicable repair kits together with Utility Specialist
