We are looking for a talented and skilled Storekeeper to join our multicultural and diverse team in Kuwait. You will be responsible to control and verify day-to-day store operations to ensure accurate receipt, storage, issuance, and system recording of materials in line with approved procedures. The role ensures inventory accuracy, proper material handling, compliance with safety and IMS requirements, and uninterrupted material availability to support plant operations.
- Receive incoming materials and physically inspect quantities, condition, and documentation against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Coordinate inspection routing with Quality or Maintenance where required before material acceptance.
- Ensure proper tagging, coding, and bin allocation of received materials.
- Control material placement in designated bin locations according to material type, hazard class, and storage guidelines.
- Ensure preservation of electrical, mechanical, and consumable materials to prevent deterioration, contamination, or damage.
- Monitor storage conditions, including segregation of hazardous or sensitive materials.
- Issue materials strictly against approved material requests in SAP.
- Ensure correct material, quantity, and batch (if applicable) are issued to the correct cost center or department.
- Prevent unauthorized withdrawal or misuse of inventory items.
- Conduct cycle counts and participate in full physical inventory as per annual plan.
- Investigate and reconcile stock discrepancies in coordination with supervisor.
- Monitor reorder levels and inform supervisor of critical stock shortages.
- Execute and validate item postings, material transfers, goods issues, and return postings in SAP.
- Maintain accurate documentation including bin cards, inspection records, and stock adjustment forms.
- Support audit requirements by providing transaction records and physical stock confirmation.
- Maintain compliance with IMS, ISO standards, and site safety procedures.
- Report damaged, expired, obsolete, or unsafe materials immediately.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards within assigned storage areas.
Required Qualifications:
- Vocational/Technical Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Warehouse Management, Industrial Engineering or a Related Technical Field.
- Vocational/Technical Certificate: Minimum 7 Years experience in stationary machine operations within a steel melt shop or similar industrial environment.
- Diploma: Minimum 5 Years experience in stationary machine operations within a steel melt shop or similar
industrial environment.
Relevant experience may include:
- Experience in safe handling, storing, and issuing chemicals, compressed gas cylinders, and hazardous materials in accordance with approved procedures and safety requirements.
- Experience of inventory management and handling within an industrial or operational setting.
- Experience in stock control and storekeeping activities within an industrial or operational environment.
Job-Specific Skills:
- Proficiency in SAP system and MS Office for goods receipt, issuance and inventory transactions.
- Skilled in GRN processing and material issuance posting.
- Proficiency in standard warehouse procedures, documentation, and IMS requirements.
- Ability to perform physical inventory counts and support stock verification activities.
- Strong adherence to safety Standards, SOPs lockout/tagout and emergency procedures.
- Strong situational awareness, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team under supervision.
- Skilled in safe handling, storage, labeling, and segregation of chemicals, compressed gas cylinders, and
hazardous materials.
