Electronic Specialist

We are looking for a talented and skilled Electronic Specialist to join our multicultural and diverse team in Kuwait. Responsible for upgrading the software if necessary and carrying out day-to-day shift activities, inspections, and repairs, attending planned and unplanned shutdowns.  Ensuring the proper functioning, reliability, and efficiency of electronic systems and components critical

to steel manufacturing

 

Duties may include but will not be limited to: 


  • Install, inspect, and maintain electronic systems and equipment used in steel production, such as sensors, measurement instruments, control panels, communication devices, and automation systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic malfunctions using specialized tools and equipment, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain continuous production
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on electronic equipment to prevent failures and ensure optimal functionality
  • Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and electronic specifications to understand system layouts and components
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and component replacements
  • HSE & Quality Responsibilities
    • Complying with Kuwait Steel policies, HSE Management System, and Integrated Management System (ISO9001/14001/45001)
    • Executing Health, Safety, and Environment plans in the workplace according to HSE standards, company and country rules, and legal regulations
    • Achieving and maintaining company HS&E targets, and objectives and preserving and protecting Kuwait Steel lives
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field

Experience:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in electronic systems, automation, PLC programming, and control theory.
Experience working with measurement instruments, sensors, and control systems commonly used in the steel industry.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electronic equipment and systems
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems, HMI design, and data analysis tools
  • Effective communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
